Safe parking award for Feltham shopping centre

The Centre Feltham has been rewarded with the Park Mark Safer Parking award.

Shoppers at The Centre Feltham will be pleased to hear the parking facilities have been awarded once again for a safe car park.

For a fifth year running the car parking site managed by Mitie and Colliers International scooped the coveted Park Mark Safer Parking Award, following an assessment of the systems and staff on Wednesday (January 13).

It was praised for its 24-hour CCTV operations helping to deter anti social behaviour and reduce fear of crime, as well as clearly illuminated signage, secure entrance and exit points, cleanliness, lit lobbies, lifts, stairwells and emergency exit lighting - together creating a safe and crime free zone.

Centre Manager Lorraine Eggleton said: ‘We are thrilled to receive this award again in recognition of ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our visitors.

The assessment is carried out by the Metropolitan Police and the British Parking Association.

Metropolitan Police designing out crime officer and Park Mark award assessor, William Davies, said: “Following our award reassessment surveys of both the multi-storey car park and the surface car park at The Centre Feltham today I have no hesitation in granting both facilities Park Mark award accreditation for another three years.

"Congratulations to everyone involved in this achievement at The Centre Feltham.”

Antony Powell, Park Mark scheme area manager, added: “The awards demonstrate the commitment of everyone involved in the management and operation of the parking facilities in achieving high standards and shows they care about their customers’ experiences.”
