Disabled Motoring UK Awards are back and they aim to be bigger and better than ever before!  Taking place at the Victory Services Club in London on Thursday 18th October the awards ceremony coincides with the 100 year anniversary of the end on the First World War and is in recognition of the close connections the charity has with the military. Guests will be able to take in the rich history of the Victory Services Club building whilst enjoying the black tie awards ceremony, featuring a drinks reception, three course dinner and string quartet.

Featuring 12 award categories, there is plenty to get excited about.  Many Park Mark awarded car parks also have the Disabled Parking Accreditation so one of our members could be featured in the winners list in October particularly as there is a category for the best Disabled Parking Accreditation Car Park of the Year!  There are now more than 700 Disabled Parking accredited car parks in the scheme and more are added every month.

The DPA aims at improving parking for disabled motorists and reducing abuse of disabled bays.  Car parks that achieve the accreditation demonstrate to customers the commitment to creating high quality parking facilities for disabled people.  The most often cited issue for disabled motorists is not being able to utilise parking spaces designated for their use, so enforcement for certain groups in society is more warmly welcomed!
